Author Biography
Erica DeWaard is an author and lifelong Washington State resident, raised in Lynden. She attended Ebenezer Christian School (K–8) and graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 2011. Erica earned a Veterinary Technician degree from Bellingham Technical College.
With a deep, hands-on background in animal care, Erica began raising dairy calves at age 11 on her family’s dairy and continues to raise calves today for another dairy operation. Her experience with livestock and veterinary training brings authenticity and practical insight to her writing.
Erica’s writing began organically through advocacy for the dairy industry on social media. In recent years, she has increasingly integrated her faith into her public work. What began as informal sharing grew into a purposeful platform; Erica now writes to inform, encourage, and reflect on the intersection of agriculture, animal care, and faith.

Revelation
The Book of Revelation has long been viewed as mysterious, overwhelming—even intimidating. Filled with vivid imagery and complex symbolism, it’s often the part of Scripture many avoid, unsure where to begin or how to understand it.
But what if Revelation was never meant to push us away?
In this honest and approachable devotional, readers are invited to step into one of the Bible’s most misunderstood books with a fresh perspective and quiet courage. Without claiming to have all the answers, the author walks thoughtfully through Revelation, offering reflections that are grounded, relatable, and deeply human.
Rather than unraveling every mystery, this journey creates space—to question, to reflect, and to engage. It brings what often feels distant a little closer, reminding us that Revelation was not written to confuse or frighten, but to reveal.
If you’ve ever skipped over this final book of the Bible, this is your invitation to return—not with fear, but with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see what has been there all along.

Luke

A Love Story from God to His Children
Deep down, most of us carry the same quiet longing—to know we are loved, to feel close to our Creator, and to believe that our lives matter in the eyes of God.
This devotional was written for that longing.
Through a guided journey in the Gospel of Luke, you will walk through the greatest love story ever told. Not just the story of Christ’s birth, but the full revelation of Jesus—His life, His compassion, His sacrifice, and His victory over death.
This is the story of a God who did not remain distant but stepped into His creation.
A Father who sent His Son.
A Savior who came not for the perfect, but for the searching, the weary, and the broken.
Each reading draws you into the world of Luke’s Gospel—where angels meet shepherds, the overlooked are called by name, and the presence of Jesus forever changes ordinary lives. As you move through these pages, you are invited to see something even more personal: that the same God who moved toward them is moving toward you.
This is not just a Christmas devotional.
It is an invitation into a relationship.
Acts – Part 1
The book of Acts never really ends.
Most people think of Acts as a book of miracles, missionaries, and the explosive growth of the early church. It is all of those things-but at its heart, Acts is the story of an extraordinary God working through ordinary people who simply said yes.
Journey through the birth of the Church, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem into the world. Along the way, you’ll meet fishermen, widows, business owners, persecutors turned preachers, and countless believers whose lives were forever changed by Christ.
More than a Bible study, this devotional invites you to slow down, discover the rich details often overlooked in familiar passages, and experience God’s faithfulness on every page.
Acts reminds us that the same Holy Spirit who empowered the early Church still works today.
The same God who built His Church is still writing stories of redemption… including yours.

Acts – Part 2

You probably know the story of Acts.
Pentecost. Peter. Stephen. Paul. Missionary journeys. Miracles. Prison cells. Riots. A shipwreck. Even a snakebite.
But what if some of the most fascinating parts of Acts are the things we usually read right past?
This book takes a different approach. Each chapter begins with one verse, one person, or one theme and slows down to dig deeper—exploring the history, culture, geography, language, and biblical connections that bring familiar passages to life.
Along the way, a remarkable pattern emerges: the harder people tried to stop the gospel, the farther it spread—persecution scattered believers. Arrests created new audiences. Closed doors led to unexpected opportunities. And through it all, ordinary people followed the Holy Spirit’s leading without knowing what was waiting on the next page.
Twenty-eight chapters. Twenty-eight opportunities to discover how much you almost missed.
Luke put down his pen.
But God’s people are still on the move.
