Author Biography
Erica DeWaard is an author and lifelong Washington State resident, raised in Lynden. She attended Ebenezer Christian School (K–8) and graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 2011. Erica earned a Veterinary Technician degree from Bellingham Technical College.
With a deep, hands-on background in animal care, Erica began raising dairy calves at age 11 on her family’s dairy and continues to raise calves today for another dairy operation. Her experience with livestock and veterinary training brings authenticity and practical insight to her writing.
Erica’s writing began organically through advocacy for the dairy industry on social media. In recent years, she has increasingly integrated her faith into her public work. What began as informal sharing grew into a purposeful platform; Erica now writes to inform, encourage, and reflect on the intersection of agriculture, animal care, and faith.

The Devotion of a Farmer Girl
The Devotion of a Farmer Girl is a devotional series rooted in simplicity, shaped by curiosity, and grounded in the truth of Scripture. Each book explores a different part of the Bible–whether a passage, a person, or a pivotal event–bringing thoughtful insight and approachable understanding to stories that continue to shape our faith.
With a heart for both learning and growth, this series blends biblical exploration with personal reflection, helping readers move beyond surface-level familiarity into a deeper, more meaningful connection with God’s Word. It’s not about having every answer, but about asking better questions, growing in understanding, and allowing Scripture to take root in everyday life.
Honest, steady, and quietly transformative, The Devotion of a Farmer Girl invites you to slow down, dig deeper, and cultivate a faith that continues to grow.
Revelation
The Book of Revelation has long been viewed as mysterious, overwhelming—even intimidating. Filled with vivid imagery and complex symbolism, it’s often the part of Scripture many avoid, unsure where to begin or how to understand it.
But what if Revelation was never meant to push us away?
In this honest and approachable devotional, readers are invited to step into one of the Bible’s most misunderstood books with a fresh perspective and quiet courage. Without claiming to have all the answers, the author walks thoughtfully through Revelation, offering reflections that are grounded, relatable, and deeply human.
Rather than unraveling every mystery, this journey creates space—to question, to reflect, and to engage. It brings what often feels distant a little closer, reminding us that Revelation was not written to confuse or frighten, but to reveal.
If you’ve ever skipped over this final book of the Bible, this is your invitation to return—not with fear, but with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see what has been there all along.

Luke

A Love Story from God to His Children
Deep down, most of us carry the same quiet longing—to know we are loved, to feel close to our Creator, and to believe that our lives matter in the eyes of God.
This devotional was written for that longing.
Through a guided journey in the Gospel of Luke, you will walk through the greatest love story ever told. Not just the story of Christ’s birth, but the full revelation of Jesus—His life, His compassion, His sacrifice, and His victory over death.
This is the story of a God who did not remain distant but stepped into His creation.
A Father who sent His Son.
A Savior who came not for the perfect, but for the searching, the weary, and the broken.
Each reading draws you into the world of Luke’s Gospel—where angels meet shepherds, the overlooked are called by name, and the presence of Jesus forever changes ordinary lives. As you move through these pages, you are invited to see something even more personal: that the same God who moved toward them is moving toward you.
This is not just a Christmas devotional.
It is an invitation into a relationship.
